Residence Information
Housing facilities for international students are available in the Mito and Hitachi areas.
In the Mito area, the student welfare division provides apartment information. In the Hitachi areas, international student liaison of the college will provide apartment information.
Tuition and Admission Fee
Tuition per Semester: 267,900 JPY
Admission Fee: 282,000 JPY
* The amounts are for a typical student in academic year 2017
Fee and tuition waivers and scholarships are available under limited circumstances and/or on a competitive basis.
Self-funded international students who show ample promise but are experiencing financial difficulties may apply for a full or half tuition waiver. For details, please consult the Ibaraki University homepage.
Scholarships
There are scholarships provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), regional public entities, nonprofit foundations and other organizations.
All scholarships are for students with excellent grades, good character, and are healthy, but face financial difficulties due to economic or personal reasons.
Scholarships are offered after the candidate submits an application in person, and passes the screening process. For more information, please visit the JASSO website.
